I posted something to this effect months ago regarding the Alkaline water systems that are available today.

I am curious if anyone has tried any of these systems? There are basically two types that i know of.

1. A water ionizer (like Enagic's product: http://www.enagic.com/)

2. A 'natural' water filter (like Santevia: http://www.santevia.com/wellness/santevia_new/index.asp)

Are there risks to drinking alkaline water? Is this even natural or safe? Both these systems suggest that the idea is to bring water back to its natural alkaline state, a state that most water we drink is no longer in due to having been through chemical cleaning processes, miles of steel piping etc...

I'm curious what the community thinks.

i have been drinking water with Santevia filter for about 18 months now...

My ph is wicked and I can honestly say it rocks...

The only down side is the system is using a plastics - then again most bottle water is in plastic containers..

I live in Banff and its hard to believe but the water that comes out of this filter taste amazingly better than right from the tap!

All The Best,

j
